everything about our stay is exceptional for its price. the staffs are super helpful and the hotel is few minutes away from a lot of shops and the lake. Very easy to book grab ride too, would definitely come back again <3

This hotel was tastefully renovated. I was surprised it was squeaky clean that I hardly can find dusts anywhere. The room was big and clean. They basically have everything I needed. Value for money and good location.

So I can give the Hotel Du Ciel a very lukewarm pass... staff were super nice. Room was not super clean, nor were the linens. Room was not cleaned daily, and water/coffee was not replenished at all. It's not hot in Dalat, so A/C wasn't required, but there remained a musty dampness to the room that would've been nice NOT to have had throughout my stay. There was a billing issue, which I think was Agoda's fault--initially on the website it said that the stay had been charged to my credit card. Then, when I first arrived, the desk staff said I had to pay them in VND. I showed them the English "PAID" confirmation on the Agoda app, but they said they would check in with me again the next day... Well, don't you know it, the next day the Agoda app info has changed to "Pay the Hotel Directly"... This had not happened at any other of my stays via Agoda, so I was surprised. I dutifully paid the hotel in cash, and now I will not be happy if Agoda also bills me on my credit card. As for the location, it certainly wasn't the hotel's fault, I should've looked on the map better but it was not very central to the downtown core, and unfortunately the first full day there, construction started right next door, under my window, on what will either be a bank or a housing building... According to one of the hotel staff, they were promised that the construction would only last 3 months. Made me push to leave the hotel for most of the day, anyways! The really nice staff member at checkout kindly asked for a five-star review, but I couldn't in my heart say anything in agreement, and just smiled. Dalat is a great city, if I come back it'll be to try another place to stay.
