Hotel Bodega Tio Pepe

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location, right next to the Jerez cathedral and part of the Byass Bodega. Small and charming, very well-managed, with super facilities including a striking roof-top pool with views of both cathedral and Alcázar. Service was excellent and low-key, the atmosphere calm and understated. We had two rooms which constituted the presidential suite, these overlooked the square and hotel gardens and couldn’t be faulted - airy, spacious, high-ceilings, eminently comfortable and very clean. A further room for another family member had a large terrace and beautiful aspect. Breakfast in the gardens was lovely - choose from an à la carte menu - and dinner in the hotel restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend the tour of the Bodega, we learnt a great deal about the process of sherry making and enjoyed the history and the tasting (worth paying extra to try 4 types plus tapas - but not if driving. Be prepared for large measures!)..

Everything was excellent. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, the pool was laid back and fun, and the staff helped us with multiple bodega bookings and taxis. The location was very convenient to everything we wanted to see in Jerez including easy walks historical sites during the day and tabancos in the evening.

Hotel has been beautifully designed which creates a lovely atmosphere. Staff are wonderful and add to the calm and tranquil environment. Breakfast served in the garden was a great experience.

This boutique hotel has been created from four former houses and has just 27 rooms so never feels crowded or busy. It is perfectly situated for the Cathedral (literally opposite the hotel) and the Alcazar but Jerez is a very walkable city and nowhere is too far. Th train station, for instance, is just fifteen minutes' walks away. The hotel itself is perfect for a mini-break. The breakfasts are plentiful and freshly-prepared. The small pool area on the roof terrace is perfect for relaxing and cooling down after a day's exploration and the terrace bar will keep you hydrated. The rooms are airy and comfortable. There is not much storage space (we stayed for four nights) so bear that in mind. The bathrooms are spacious with fabulous showers! All staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was any trouble. The Pedro Nolasco restaurant which all part of the Bodegas estate is highly recommended. Its opening times and days are limited but the food is exceptional and it is mind-blowingly excellent value for money. Hotel residents get a 10% discount - make sure you get a voucher from reception.
