    Belle Mare is a nice hotel with a wonderful staff. Showers get nice and hot, facilities need some tender loving care but overall it’s a nice place to relax and stay in this quiet town of Japan.

    Loved it and it was great value too. The room we picked (Deluxe Twin) had a wonderful view from the jacuzzi bathtub. Very European feel... also feels like they had renovations done recently because everything has a fresh. The hotel staff were great and very helpful too. Location was great for us as we just came off the ferry at Maizuru.

    I booked this hotel because I needed a place to stay after docking at Maizuru ferry terminal. This was within walking distance 15min. Not bad. This hotel has little to no renovation. Everything is classic 90s decor and equipment. No public bath tho. Oh well that is not their concept perhaps. The sink and tub still uses the very old school turning knobs. Inside the room there is shoe shine station too. The breakfast was delightfully interesting. Orange press, the bread runway toast… they should market it as vintage hotel. However strange was they removed the bidet from my bidet toilet… at least give me room with toilet bidet..
