    Hostal Floridita is situated up quite high on the promontory between the beaches of Magaluf & Palma Nova so if looking for a quiet place that is also very private this is the one for you. You do, however, have to be prepared to walk quite steep walkways down to get to the beach/bars & restaurants & then back up again. The rooms do vary depending on whether you get a standard or superior room. Standard rooms are at the back of the building where there are no views but trees all around so not unpleasant. Quite small rooms. A superior room is much larger and is at the front of the building. If on the ground floor you will have a balcony that just looks over the gardens. I have recently stayed there twice and Floor 2 gives you a bit of a view of the sea etc. but Floor 3 had a fantastic view so I can only imagine what floor 4 views have to offer. I had an identical room each time but the rooms on the second floor didn’t have a mini fridge which I had expected as there had been one on floor 3 so that made a bit of a difference as I’d wanted to keep some food & drinks at the Hostal during my stay as there was no reception open or access to drink machines. So if you are planning to stay and wanting to spend time at the Hostal as I did I just hope you get the best rooms with the best views because it makes a big difference.

    If you have a room at the front on the top 2 floors then you are going to love it. The views are fantastic. But any other room you don’t get it. So although basic, clean the rooms vary massively.

    I had booked only that morning so got a great deal and was so lucky to be given a room on the 3rd floor at the front of the building which had the most amazing views and was filled with sunshine all afternoon. Because of that I was able to spend the last day & night of my trip to Mallorca memorable, relaxing & beautiful. However, had I not lucked out, and had a room at the back of the building or the side I would have had to go out and about which on my last day wasn’t my plan. Which room you are given makes all the difference so be aware of that.
