We arrived at the address to find a property that looked nothing like the photos on the listing. The place was in a terrible state — rundown, completely misrepresented. The “receptionist” informed us that the property supposedly has two different owners and that the room we booked was conveniently “under construction.” He then offered us a completely different room — presented as a favour — which was in appalling condition and bore zero resemblance to the advertised photos. What made it worse: the premises were filled with sketchy individuals. We felt genuinely unsafe and feared for our wellbeing. We grabbed our bags and left immediately without even considering staying. This is not a case of disappointing accommodation — this is deliberate misrepresentation used to lure guests through a legitimate platform and trap them into staying in unacceptable conditions. Agoda’s listing photos are being used as bait. Avoid at all costs. We filed a formal misrepresentation complaint with Agoda and are pursuing a chargeback.

This place is a scam. The photos are from another property down the street and this place is a dump in comparison. They said the room we booked was under construction but we found the other posting which is a 4 star apartment/hotel that is not affiliated with the hostel. We arrived at 1:30am so felt like we had no other choice but to stay. Our room smelt so bad, the worker sprayed room spray but only lasted 5 minutes. The door of our room had been previously kicked in and only had a small latch to shut the door and didn’t feel safe also we killed 3 cockroaches in the room. The shared bathroom was FULL of mould and everything was always soaking wet. There was hand soap and toilet paper the first day but nothing after that. Value for money is awful, neighbourhood is sketchy the only positive thing was that the workers were kind. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
