    Remember you get what you pay for. So spotty wi-fi and tepid shower to be repaired to get hot water. It was. Well done. These things are a challenge all over burma. But it is a non profit devoted to training kids in various industries. These kids are fantastic. They attach a muscle through everything you need from catching dodgy moneycangers, making SIM cards work. Cheers for them. Local area poorof course but bustling. Big grocery downstairs in sule plaza bldg. grab is easy. Bring perfect $100 bills. Street food fun. Smile big at every one and the smiles back are precious. Visit and volunteer at Yangon animal shelter. Just sit and pet loads of rescued street dogs. 590 at that founded by one extraordinary woman, ***. 25 years on. Give money. All dogs healthy and clean.     It’s at the heart of Yangon, walkable distance to everywhere downtown. Can’t avoid the electricity shut down regarding the current situation but normally it occurs when I’m out exploring so not a big deal. My dorm room and restrooms are clean—it’s Yangon so you could probably see cute geckos in the restrooms. And the staff&students are REALLY so nice to help me with everything, vibe is great.

    The location is great, in the heart of downtown, the building is one of those nice old house with plenty of character, and prices are very competitive. However, the place has grown hugely different from all the pictures you'll see. Walls are mouldy, things are broken, the charm has clearly faded. I know it's not the right moment in Myanmar to make costly renovation, but it costs nothing to give a thorough, serious cleanup to the whole place who, I think, is just given a sweep every now and then. Bathrooms, walls, doors, chairs, windows: everything is quite filthy. Clean up that place!
