After reading the above average reviews, my mum and I were looking forward to our stay there.
First time in Florida!
We had requested a room on the 2nd floor higher.
We were given a room (***) on the ground floor, which is fine.
The rooms odour was mouldy and just horrible.
The door to the bathroom had half painted. Looked like the entry to a drug den.
(I’m not actually joking)
Reception offfered us 104, next door which was even worse, which they acknowledged. They could not move us to any other room, they said hotel was full.
We were given an air freshener and told as this is Florida rooms get mouldy and smelly.
But this was grotesque.
From my stay here I would rather pay a few $ more and stay at some of the other hotels. Or insist on a high floor.
We were seriously disappointed. And as I was with my mum it made me sad!
Location is excellent tho.
