    The room I stayed in was excellent—clean, well-maintained, and very pleasant. However, locating the property was quite tricky, especially for a first-time guest. The hotel does not allow early check-in, as I was repeatedly told that housekeeping had not yet arrived to clean the room. I arrived in San Diego before noon after a long drive and was already exhausted. I even offered to pay for early check-in, but the front desk staff was unfriendly and firmly insisted on a 4:00 PM check-in. I understand if a property has a strict no–early check-in policy, but this was not clearly stated. What I found confusing was how strict they were with the 11:00 AM checkout, yet guests are expected to wait until 4:00 PM to check in. That seems like a long turnaround time for a small room. That said, the hotel itself is nice, the room was very clean, and the location is highly accessible and close to everything.

    An overall average property that doesn’t quite justify the price. The hotel corridors had an unpleasant odor, which was off-putting. Breakfast offered limited variety, but the essentials were covered — including bread, eggs, sausages, biscuits, cakes, fruits, cereals, fresh juice, and coffee. I also encountered a water clogging issue in the bathroom. When I contacted the front desk, I was informed that housekeeping would be sent, but they were unable to provide an estimated time of arrival. Unfortunately, I was mid-shower and had plans for the evening, which were disrupted due to the delay. While the housekeeping staff did arrive within 15–20 minutes and took about the same amount of time to resolve the issue, by then I had already missed my dinner reservation.
