    I recently stayed with family at the Hirschen Hotel in Matten-Interlaken area for 4 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a family run Hotel and staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a good assortment of breakfast items in the morning (7 AM to 10 AM). If you like staying in a Swiss Chalet style Hotel, you will love the stay here. There is a bus stop at 2 minute walk with bus which goes to Interlaken OST station. The Hotel also has a restaurant which serves lunch and dinner. Last year, they installed AC in all the Rooms and since we visited in July, we made use of it as it was 30 degrees in Interlaken. I would definitely consider staying here again when in the Interlaken area.

    It was such a great experience staying in this hotel which was over 400 years old and the original inn in Interlaken. We had such a spacious room with quality linen and bedding. We couldn't fault our room which had the added bonus of great views. The buffet breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant down stairs was exceptional.
