Superb hotel with magnificent views of everything you want to see in Ella- the peak, the waterfall etc. despite being far above the chaos and noise of Ella town, the walk there is an easy five minutes. Staff make a hotel, and the staff here are superb, notably Ramesh on reception who was incredibly helpful. Next time we will book direct with the hotel as the only issue we had were with the A goda app itself! Highly recommended

The hotel's price was overpriced, but the reception staff and the hotel are very helpful, helpful and polite, and the location of the hotel is very beautiful and the river views are beautiful, but the rooms are very small.

Food was really bad ,got diarrhoea and food was cold ,not valuable for money, not recommended for anyone

This was easily one of my most disappointing hotel stays in Sri Lanka. I arrived at the hotel fairly late and was only staying for one night. On the day of checkout, I asked whether it would be possible to have a slightly later checkout because I was caught up outside and needed some additional time before returning to pack. The standard checkout time is 12:00 PM, and I initially asked whether they could extend it by an hour to 1:00 PM. I understand that late checkout is always subject to availability, but what bothered me was how unnecessarily inflexible the entire interaction was. I was first offered only an additional 30 minutes. When I asked whether 1:00 PM might be possible, I was repeatedly told that the hotel was full and that a family was apparently arriving at 11:30 AM. That explanation made absolutely no sense to me. The hotel's published check-in time starts at 2:00 PM, while my room was mine until 12:00 PM regardless. A guest choosing to arrive at 11:30 AM should not somehow become pressure on an existing guest to leave before the stated checkout time. What made the experience considerably worse was that at around 11:30 AM, while I was still packing, a staff member came to my room to collect my luggage. My checkout was at noon. I had not asked anyone to collect my bags, and I found this incredibly rude and completely unnecessary. It felt as though I was being pushed out of the room before my checkout time had even arrived. I eventually spoke to the manager about the whole situation because I genuinely could not understand the level of inflexibility. I have stayed in countless hotels where, when occupancy allows, an extra hour or two is accommodated as a courtesy. And if complimentary late checkout isn't possible, hotels will often at least offer a paid late-checkout option. That wasn't even presented to me here — something I would have been perfectly willing to pay for. The rest of the experience did very little to make up for it. Breakfast was poor and had very limited options. The hotel's strongest point is unquestionably the view, which is beautiful, but that alone does not justify the price. The property is also quite far up the hill, which makes the location less convenient than it initially appears. For what this hotel charges, I expected substantially better hospitality, flexibility and service. Instead, the experience felt overpriced and surprisingly unwelcoming. There are plenty of Airbnbs, guesthouses and other hotels around Ella offering beautiful views for significantly less. I would choose one of those before paying this amount to stay here again. The view is great. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience were not.
