The hotel was very good, the food was excellent and the bar staff friendly and helpful.
I think they could improve their communications with guests that are arriving very late.

Passing through Rockhampton for a 1 night stay, we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. It was Boxing Day so the pub itself was closed, but the instructions for check-in were easy to follow. The apartment has air-con in the main living area and one bedroom. The kitchen is basic but makes life easy for breakfast on the go and reheating the kids meal. There's a good playground across the road but bring your bug spray, there's about 1,000 midges making life itchy... We enjoyed the stay, but if the pub was open, the room could possibly be a bit noisy

Beautiful old hotel building however was very dirty. Along with this we had the fire alarm activate, this is a worry as your 3 stories high with one exit staircase. After this we went to see if all ok and were accused f setting it off. 😡

paid for 4 rooms. 1/4 of the room bed were unmade and there were no towel (checked in close to 4.30pm). 2/4 of the rooms have a big hole on the wall stuffed with socks to cover up the hole.
Common toilet was pretty clean. Location was pretty accessible too.
