    Only issue was the hot water was not hot in the morning and we informed the staff when leaving. The place is clean and easy to locate. Nice walk to nearby Marina and 5 mins drive to see the Obelisk, Ruins of Old Goal and beautiful crashing waves. As we were there in Winter(mid Aug), it was peaceful and quiet.

    Such a relief to be able to phone the motel direct and be able to speak to someone accommodating. Refreshing to be able to escape the endless spam and poor service from companies like Agoda and Expedia. Plus the motel was comfy, there was a laundry and clothesline, amenities were good and its location was great. Combine the down to earth approach with a down to earth owner, it’s a winner in my book!

    Our visit came during warnings of extreme, damaging winds, cold weather and potential coastal flooding. The experience was not as bad as the warnings, and while we spent more time indoors than we might have, we also had walks in sunshine between showers, we saw the beauty of the town, and enjoyed some indoor entertainment. The glass door to the balcony overlooking the harbour whistled loudly in the strong gusts, but this was easily stopped by pushing old newspaper into the door channel! 😀

    The motel is in a lovely spot. The room was large, comfy bed and hot shower. I realise that the owners are in the process of renovation, but a couple of tips. Two people in a bed, but only one side has a reading lamp? No sink in room, have to use bathroom sink to wash dishes. Not hygienic. Thank you for having a washing machine and dryer available to use. Room clean and warm. Bathroom tired but adequate. However no excuse for mould in shower. Overall good value for money though.
