Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was not good. Some very basic amenities were missing, especially hot water for bathing and clean drinking water, which I found quite disappointing.
The location is also extremely deep inside the farms, and the road leading to the hostel is not adequate. I visited during the monsoon, and the mud road became extremely slippery. I was riding a bike and found it quite difficult and risky to reach the property.
The location may work for someone specifically looking for a very remote stay, but the lack of basic facilities and poor road access made my overall experience uncomfortable. I would recommend the property improve the basic amenities and road accessibility, especially considering that guests may arrive during the monsoon.

The location is great. Very quiet and so pretty. Surrounded by coffee plantation. Not yet very commercial and that's the best part.

This was my first solo trip to Chikmagalur, and I booked Happy Go Chikmagalur through Agoda for two days. It turned out to be the best decision. Prathaap, the owner, guided me on places to explore and arranged an affordable rental bike, which made the trip easy and enjoyable. The property was clean, well-maintained, budget-friendly, and the hospitality exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for solo travelers and groups.

The location is really nice. You can see scenic hill views from the balcony. However reaching the stay is difficult. There is no proper road and it’s all muddy. High chances you or your vehicle might slip. They didn’t had filtered drinking water too.
