    This is my second trip to Hai Phong this year, and I keep coming back to HaiPhong Backpacker Hostel like a homing pigeon finding its roost. This time I swapped the dorm for a double room — a little more breathing room for the soul. Early May here is the kind of hot that wraps around you like a wet blanket at noon, the kind that makes you want to melt into the mattress and not move until the sun loses its nerve. So that's exactly what I did — slipped out at first light while the streets were still cool and drowsy, then again at dusk when the sky turned the color of ripe mangoes and the city finally exhaled. Room 401 has a balcony door that catches the morning sun just right. Every day I'd pull back the curtain, drag a chair over, and sit there with my notebook while the light crept in slow and golden. That little patch of warmth was worth the whole trip. The owner is warm and easy-going — the kind of person who makes you feel like you've stumbled into a friend's place rather than a guesthouse. If you're passing through Hai Phong and need somewhere to lay your head, this place is a solid pick.

    I arrived in time for checking in but the landlord lady was not there and she did the checking in through her VCR camera, ridiculously she told me the room number and choose whichever bed i want, the room has bad smell, there is an air con but she hid it and only left the fan remote, it took me 130k but i thought my money is not deserved
