H-AVENUE HOTEL haeundae

Excellent location close to Haeondae Beach and restaurants. Standard Bread shop across the road was superb and ideal for breakfast. Rooms were spacious and clean. Will stay here again.

It is more or less a two star hotel, and you will need to keep that in mind with regard to expectations. The good: location is within 5min walk to beach access, there is a CU convenience store right next door. They offer self service laundry in the basement level, and have a pantry where you can self serve hot water and instant noodles. Bottled water is available in the room and you can grab additional bottles in the lobby for free. The bad: The building appears recently renovated, but the facilities are unfortunately either poorly constructed or poorly kept. The ceiling in the room we were assigned had multiple blotches of mold, and I had to request a new room. The front desk person on staff that day was either new or filling in for someone, but definitely did not appear to be in a position to make decisions/take action and had to rely on someone else via phone to facilitate check in , as well as resolution to a room change when I notified of the issue with mold in the room. He did what he could, but it was just not the best experience for a guest to arrive from a long trip and have to go through the motions of moving from one room to another after discovering mold in a room that should have been checked for/managed in the course of routine housekeeping. The room we were reassigned to had damaged furniture, and it was just late into the evening that I had no further energy to wait for yet another room, so we stayed in the room and informed the front desk of the matter. The front desk was apologetic, but again, these are QAQC issues that one would think gets picked up in the course of routine maintenance/housekeeping rather than guest observation and notification. Would I return for a future stay? Probably not -- there are many other options in the area that are equally convenient and at similar price point. Would I recommend it to others? Only if you are able to adjust your expectations and keep in mind it is not a 4 or 5 star level hotel.

Room was new, clean and comfortable, with good toiletries a comfortable bed and the big TV with streaming services. The staff was helpful when I had questions. There is a convenience store right next door, and just a short walk straight to the beach. It is about 15min walking to the main Haeundae main street which is completely doable or a 2 stop bus ride. The staff also allowed us to do late checkout until 2pm, which was supposed to be an additional $7 per hour but we upon checkout were given it complimentary. We would definitely stay here if we come back to the area!

Small room and that’s out of my expectation. 10-15 minutes walk from the Haeundae Main Street, far away and everytime need to call taxi. Queen size bed put in the middle however, two sides are too narrow to walk through. NO SPACE to open the luggage. The sink leeks and no curtain in the bathtub. Double room but only provide one towel and one glass. It costs 144000 won per night and it’s not worth.
