Gyeongsan The Best

We stayed here because of the fair price and closeness to Daegu stadium~ 15 min drive. Facility was spotless. Super clean- we even asked for a later checkout and were able to for a small fee. The room gets pitch black when you close the window and turn off the lights. The only thing we didn’t like was the area the hotel was located in, it was rather suspicious.

First of all, the aesthetics in the hallways and room are really unique. It felt kind of modern, but still comfortable. They had a large t.v. on the wall with channels numbering in the 100s. They also had access to Netflix at the push of the button. There were very few English-speaking channels on the regular t.v. (and maybe one Spanish?) but there were a variety of English-speaking programs on netflix. The bed was not too hard and the couch was comfortable. The only negative about the bed is there were only two pillows. Otherwise, all was great. While there is no table to sit and eat, the couch and coffee table worked well for my breakfast. The hotel is in a vibrant area, so--when I awoke in the night--I could very slightly hear some music coming from a local business, but it was not too much to stop me from going back to sleep. The Piece de resistance was--of course--the HUGE bathtub! I am 5'7" and I could put my legs straight out--without touching the other side--while leaning against the back of the tub. The jets worked really well and were relaxing. Although I never took a shower, the shower head is one of those rainstorm kinds that is straight above your head. It looked like it would be a lovely shower. They also--if I remember correctly--had an alternate shower head (a normal one) beneath the rainstorm one, so--if you're not interested in the rainstorm shower--then you can take a regular one. I will admit here that I just fleetingly looked at the shower, so MIGHT POSSIBLY be wrong about the regular shower head. The staff was kind and helpful and even called me on the room phone about 20 minutes before check-out time. They didn't seem to speak English; however, the hotel is in Korea, so they don't necessarily need to do so. There are many restaurants and Noraebangs and convenience stores in the area. There is even a very large DAISO across the big road from the hotel. Lots to offer. Also, while it is considered in SUSEONG-GU, it is actually a 35-40 minute bus ride or subway ride from suseong office subway stop to the hotel; however, that really isn't a huge deal because the ride is fast and easy. If you don't like walking much, I'd try to get the 100 bus from near suseong office station and it'll drop you off about a 4 minute walk to the hotel. The subway is a faster ride, but it is a 15 minute walk from subway to the hotel. That isn't as much a bother in the Spring/Summer/Autumn, but in the winter, that walk is a little chilly. I had a great time, and--if/when I return to Daegu to see my friends, I will consider staying here again.
