The location is probably the biggest downside. There really isn’t much around the hotel, and you need to walk about 15 minutes to reach the subway station or the old market.
The room also wasn’t as clean as I expected, especially the bed sheets when I first arrived. I mentioned it to the staff, and they cleaned the room and changed the sheets, which I appreciated.
For the price, I understand you can’t expect too much, and the stay was reasonable for what I paid. However, if I visit Gwangju again, I would probably choose a different hotel with a better location and cleaner rooms.
