    The staff is very polite, extremely helpful and go out of the way to assist you. The complimentary breakfast is also very tasty and none of the food items are extra spicy. They are just right for people of all ages

    We stayed at Grand Valley Resort Munnar and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience overall. While the rooms were clean and the views were lovely, there were quite a few issues that impacted our stay. The TV didn’t work. The pool was murky and seemed unclean and constantly crowded, as people from other hotels seemed to come and use it. As a women, j also didn’t feel particularly comfortable around the pool area, as I was frequently stared and pointed at being a foreigner. The staff tried to be helpful, but service was inconsistent. For example, we didn’t receive toilet paper until the third day and had to source it ourselves. The breakfast was very poor and actually left us feeling quite unwell. Boiling milk was provided for cereal, which was odd, and the restaurant overall was not clean, with food scraps and napkins left on the floor. The location is also quite inconvenient. It’s far down a road that cars struggle to access, difficult to walk, and not near anything. Ubers don’t come out this way, so it’s really only suitable if you have your own transport. The hotel does occasionally offer assistance getting up and down the road, but it’s not consistent. We ended up going to a nearby restaurant for meals as we couldn’t eat at the hotel. To top it off, the walls are paper thin, so noise travels easily between rooms.
