Great transit stay and very good when arriving at random hours. The city is easily accessed by bus on the main street. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very large breakfast spread, even though I wasnt that hungry.

Hotel Grand Shosh, Tashkent Hotel stay was comfortable, however in rooms and toilets we faced issues like no water, or only hot water running. The response was mix. One staff member even told us to go to any other place with no return of money, instead of fixing hotel problems. The functionality and standard knitting of the rooms wasn't checked by staff. Other staff members, after request, made ad-hoc arrangements. This was even after we had confirmed booking three months prior. We accepted a few slip ups and few were made up by staff. The staff overall was polite and helpful. Against the images shown on Agoda site, there wasn't a gym or pool in hotel. Though rooms are clean. We couldn't find any ironing facility. Breakfast spread was quite comprehensive, ample, nicely refilled, and vegetarians can find enough to suit their needs. Local gentry generally eats cold food, so for ones especially Indians microwave is avbl. They even served omelette on demand though boiled eggs and half fried eggs were avbl. Hotel is close to train station for move to bukhara samarkand and Almaty by train and little away from airport and other major tourist attractions, though served by buses well that can be tracked through yandex app including taxis. No metro station is in vicinity. Local market, stores, ATMs and Sher-e-punjab Indian restaurant are in walkable distances. Ticket system in buses and metro is very comfortable. In complete uzbekistan, for bus and metro tickets, u can pay offer facility to pay using international visa cards for urself and also co travellers through multiple taps for each journey. Taxi travel is also simple though drivers and locals would not speak in English. Google Translator was extensively used to communicate. 24x 7 store like Korzinka is next door which provides all stuff to survive including freshly cooked hot breads at reasonable prices better than other local shops. Hotel offered luggage storage happily, after we checked out. Little above a budget hotel. Overall a satisfying experience.
