Bait and switch — extremely disappointing experience We booked hotel rooms that were advertised and confirmed, but upon arrival we were told the rooms we had booked were unavailable. We were then taken by cab to another building, Harmony Oyster, which is a guest house and not the hotel accommodation we had actually booked. The replacement rooms were also unacceptable, with unhygienic bathroom conditions, serious concerns about chemical/insecticide exposure, and unreliable Wi-Fi. Other replacement rooms offered to us were just as bad, while the better rooms were only available after our checkout date. The complimentary breakfast was extremely basic: a single item such as bread with a small amount of sauce or a small portion of noodles. The cook was actually one of the few friendly people we encountered and seemed to be genuinely trying to do his job properly. The property team was generally unfriendly and at times hostile. The one exception was ***, who genuinely made an effort to help and make us as comfortable as possible under the circumstances. We tried repeatedly to resolve the situation directly with the property, but without a satisfactory solution. This was far beyond an ordinary disappointing hotel stay. The accommodation provided was not what we booked, and the overall experience was extremely stressful. I don't recommend staying here.
