Granbell is directly across the Canals and near the shopping area . The car park system is a mechanical one and you would need to request the front desk to help . That is the only inconvenience . There is a small open air onsen . Decent size . Lovely stay . Do note that the restaurants nearby are rather commercialised and expensive .

Nice hotel and room is of good size although this is the only hotel we had to pay for parking throughout our road trip in Hokkaido - hotel parking is ¥1,500 but there is another carpark option that is next to hotel costing ¥1,000 (for 24 hours). So no worries about parking availability. Few sightseeing places near hotel which is within walking distance. Quite a number of Letao stores nearby. Hotel has water dispenser at the lift lobby which helps. The only mini downside is there is a low ceiling near the window which you may hit yourself if not careful enough but it is not a major negative for us.

Room is clean and has all the amenities required. Hotel is located near the canal and within walking distance to the shopping street. Though hotel parking is limited, the hotel sells coupon for nearby public parking lots.

The room is very spacious and clean. But the service is a bit disappointing. The main entrance of the lobby is closed and we have to get into the lobby through the side door which is a bit troublesome and no temporary car waiting space for check in guest. There is no staff to guide the guest with car where to drop luggage and wait for check in. This has cause the road congestion in that area during check in time. When I check in, I was informed that their own parking space (1500 yen/day) was full and recommended me to go to their affiliate parking which charge around the same parking charges as them even with the discount voucher. The parking space next door is closed off already. Luckily I found another parking which is only 3 mins walk from the hotel and the overnight charge (4pm - 10am) is only 500yen.
