    I would only just recommend this, based largely on price. My room was ok with a nice balcony overlooking the pool. The pool was good and admittedly pool properties do command quite a premium, as they are not as common in sri lanka than many south east asian countries. The place is generally quite rundown, my room had a good tv, with zero channels, there were none of the frills you'd expect in a hotel in this price range. I had one room service meal and it was excellent, they have a good and reasonably priced menu. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was shocked that with the "do not disturb" sign out, someone woke me up smashing on the door and yelling "sir, sir" to ask me how my stay was going. Thats what i call some cultural differences right there, he was a very nice guy, just didn't see anything wrong with that lol. As it was twice the price of the second most expensive place ive stayed here, (over 2 weeks so far) i feel, unless you are going to make great use of the pool, you'd be better off elsewhere.
