Glacier Lodge

Place needs updating. A piece of tile fallen off the wall base board. Could be better if provide at least mini fridge in the suite.

Ideal location for all the local sites. Also the hot bath and pool was refreshing.

The hotel and unit were dated - old carpet, fixtures etc. Plaster coming off walls, towel railing broken, kitchen vanity doors broken. Window curtains dirty with grubby hand marks. No drinking cups in unit. Give this place a miss.

We stayed 4 nights in room 113. Check in was easy and staff were informative and polite. The room itself is quite dingy, the furniture very tired, poor lighting. The bed was comfy with good pillows and bedding. The bathroom again could do with a complete refit, the extractor fan was so noisy and the shower was poor quality but there was lots of hot water and plenty of towels. Room 113 has a connecting door to room 112 and the door was literally all that separated us so unfortunately you could hear absolutely every conversation that was taking place plus all bathroom activities which wasn’t great. Our first night we were kept awake until 2.30 in the morning. When I mentioned it to reception the next day they said we could have called front desk and they would have knocked on their door to tell them to be quiet, obviously we didn’t know that! The remaining nights we had different neighbours and they were much quieter although we could still hear conversations and bathroom noise. It’s not cheap for what you get compared to European accommodation but by Whistler standard it is reasonable. We used the pool and hot tubs but if you don’t think to bring flip flops you either have to walk from your room bare foot in your swim wear or wear your boots. The hot tubs were ok but the small one, the jets weren’t working and the bigger one the temperature was cold one night because they’d changed the water.A good base but not luxurious.
