    We stayed for one night as a stopover on a long journey. We had a large king room with balcony. Although there was definitely some things that needed attention such as very draughty single glazed windows and smelly drains in the bathroom overall for the very reasonable price we paid for a large room with an extremely comfortable bed with nice linen, good tv, bottled water I would recommend. Cant report on the food as we went elsewhere for dinner and left quickly the next day. The young man staff member we had contact with was extremely welcoming and friendly.

    I visited "The George" around thre years ago, was happy to rebook this visit. On arrival it was great to see the improvements In particular in the catering and dining room Very well done Great value for money Andy

    Lovely setting but needs a refurb. Booked a large room, hadn’t been cleaned, dirty towels/ bedding not changed /empty wine bottles etc. Staff member couldn’t apologise enough and gave us a small clean room albeit tired. The staff member was excellent however he seemed to be in his own and having to do everything, poor chap needs help.
