    Due to Qantas delayed flight in NZ, my dad missed his connection flight to Port Moresby. I contacted the hotel If we could defer our booking to the next day but they couldn't help us. Date was 31st August 2026.

    Review We stayed in a self-contained apartment for four people; however, it felt very underprepared and lacked basic amenities. The kitchen was inadequately stocked, with only one of each piece of cutlery (1 spoon, 1 fork, 1 teaspoon) and just two coffee cups. There was also no tea towel or dish scrub provided. In the bathroom, a manhole was left open, which was concerning, and only one towel was supplied. We requested additional towels on the first night, but by the second day, these had still not been provided. There was also no replenishment of toilet paper — three days into our stay, we had to request this ourselves. The flyscreen door was broken and reported, but no action was taken during our stay. The floor was noticeably dusty on arrival, and even three days into our stay, it was clear that housekeeping had not attended to clean the floors. Although breakfast was listed as an included benefit, we were advised at the restaurant that we would need to pay. On two separate mornings, we had to return to reception to have them call the restaurant to confirm our booking before being allowed to eat. While the reception staff were polite, it appeared they were unsure how to manage or resolve these ongoing issues. Overall, the room did not feel ready for our arrival, and we were very underwhelmed with our stay.
