    Stay at Gasthof Simony Hallstatt (Early June) We stayed at Gasthof Simony in Hallstatt in early June and overall had a very memorable experience. For parking, we parked our car at P1, which costs around €15 per day, and then took the shuttle bus into the town. (You will get this info after booking with them) The hotel does not have a lift, and our room was on the 3rd floor. We were aware of this in advance, so we packed a small bag and managed the luggage accordingly, which made the stay easier. The toilet and shower were located just outside the room rather than inside. However, it was not a shared facility — it was labelled with our room number and used only by us. So even though it is outside the room, it functions as a private bathroom (not a public or shared one). The complimentary breakfast was very good and a nice way to start the day. One of the best parts of staying in Hallstatt is that you can explore the town in the early morning or later in the evening after the day-trippers have left, which makes the experience much more peaceful. The room design felt a bit old-fashioned, almost like a “vampire castle” style, but it was not uncomfortable at all. In fact, we slept very well. The only downside was that our room was close to the square and church, so it could get quite noisy at night due to sounds from outside. Overall, despite the lack of a lift and some nighttime noise, we really enjoyed our stay. The location, atmosphere, and peaceful early/late hours in Hallstatt made it a very special experience.

    We stayed overnight at this charming hotel and had a wonderful experience. Special thanks to Mrs. Joka, Duska, and Bettina for taking such great care of us and preparing a lovely breakfast. We truly enjoyed the warm hospitality and the traditional Austrian atmosphere. Highly recommended.

    Old building in the center of Hallstatt Pretty clean, but with poor breakfast Also, the sleep is not very good as you can hear everything from the other rooms
