    My China tour ended here so it was an easy 1 night extension. It's about 30 - 45 mins from the CBD, but only 25 mins from Pudong International Airport, so a great place to reach both. There are some local restaurants close by too, but not much else.

    The hotel staff were unable to find my booking, so check-in was unnecessarily long winded. The room size and room amenities were as advertised, however there were only two bath towels, despite my booking for three people. After calling reception for more than 10 minutes with no answer, we had to go downstairs to request a third bath towel. We were then delivered and hand towel. The air conditioning system made very loud clunking noises all night and the power, AC and lights cut off completely in the early morning and again we had to visit the front desk to get someone to the room to restore the power. The breakfast room was littered with rubbish on the floor, all the plates were dripping wet and serving plates took a long time to be refilled. No drinking water was available at breakfast. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for the money.
