Fujisan Resort Hotel

A perfect stay for Ebiking to and from lake Kawaguchi. Was less than 10 minutes from everything. Have no complaints about breakfast food or room. The atmosphere was of an asian style not western. There was a Japanese school sport group of 30 there at the time. Overall an amazing value pick. Can’t beat *** per night for two beds and breakfast.

A wonderful place

In a town where the primary attraction is Mt. Fuji, you’d think that a window where you can actually see the mountain is a given. I take responsibility for my assumption that I would be provided with a window of not even Mt Fuji, but simply the outside world. It is misleading at best that my only window, was into the HALLWAY of the hotel. The price I paid for this room was given at “40% off”, but I can only imagine the hotel priced the room up so they could pretend to take 40% off and offer it at normal price. Not only that, but the walls are paper thin. You can hear when other guests talk on the phone, sniff their nose every 5 seconds, shower, flush the toilet, or use the washing machines down the hall and so on. These are ALL real experiences. Not to mention the mess in the hallways with racks of towels, sheets and cleaning supplies, far surpassing what you would normally expect of a hotel. You can tell this is obviously a hotel in decline by the way they unplug the refrigerators in the room when guests aren’t there to save money. A fact that I only became aware of after putting drinks in the fridge, only to later retrieve them when they came out warm. God forbid you wake up early to go sightseeing, and come back tired in the afternoon for a nap, because the staff will keep you up with their yelling conversations while they clean rooms. The only redeeming quality of the staff was the nod the front desk staff would give me when I walked in. There were literal cobwebs in my room, and a bug flew into my drink while I was relaxing in the evening. There is nothing in the area within a 20 minute walk, making staying here even more unjustifiable. Do not stay here at any cost. I promise you spending a bit extra to stay anywhere else would be well worth it.
