    1) Really bad renovation works happening in the hotel building and the management does not have the intelligence to realise that people are visiting for a music festival which means irregular sleeping times, but still let drilling happen on Friday, Saturday and Monday morning. Reception staff was very nice, although gave me an illogical excuse, saying they cannot tell the workers how to change their schedule/plans when I requested reception to go request them to pause for a few days, until the festival is over on Tuesday morning. Reception told me there is some penalties if the construction does not finish because the management of the hotel is one company and the owner of the building is another. OK so I blame both parties for being really stupid then and needs to be made redundant. Marrio edundant. Marriot manageme the landlord of the building both. We all know in B2B contrad contracts, it's always "in good faith", and they don't really enforce penalties to ruin relationships. Don't use penalties as an excuse to make guests suffer through the stupid decisions made by management made To rub salt on the wounds, reception said they had to start drilling back on Monday morning when the festival just ended. To which the noise we came back to was insane. But then on Tuesday morning, after an hour or so of very very light drilling compared to Monday morning, there was NO MORE NOISE. Wow, is this awesome planning or what? There was o noise for planning or wh the whole day, from 10 am onwards, and we collected our bags and left around 4pm. So I suppose could even make it for the deadline even if they delayed Friday and Saturday and Monday? 2) Carpet looks old, outdated and discoloured. Very warm even with 2 fans. If the windows are opened for air, the cigarette smoke comes into the room, because the window faces the entrance of the building, where every person goes to smoke. o points for this hotel, I hope you just go out of business. Flowers is way better, I regretted not picking that place.
