    During our recent stay at Fairfield by Marriott Agra, we booked two rooms—one for ourselves and another (Room 603) for my parents. Unfortunately, the housekeeping standards in Room 603 were far below what we expect from a Marriott property. We experienced the following issues: Strong cigarette smoke odor in a designated non-smoking room: Room 603 was clearly marked as a Non-Smoking Room, with strict instructions displayed inside prohibiting smoking. Despite this, the room had a strong and persistent smell of cigarette smoke, making it uncomfortable for my parents. This indicates that either the previous guest smoked in the room or the room was not properly sanitized and deodorized before being assigned to us. We brought this issue to the attention of one of your staff members during our stay, but the room should never have been handed over in this condition. Poorly cleaned floor: The floor was sticky, as though a soft drink or some other liquid had been spilled and not cleaned properly. Our shoes and slippers were sticking to the floor while walking, which was both unpleasant and unhygienic. Dirty couch and cushions: The couch was visibly dirty, with noticeable stains and accumulated dirt. The cushions were also stained and poorly maintained, giving the impression that they had not been cleaned for a long time. I have attached a photograph of the couch as evidence of its condition. I chose Fairfield by Marriott because of its reputation for cleanliness, quality, and hospitality. Unfortunately, the condition of Room 603 did not reflect the standards associated with the Marriott brand. Basic room cleanliness and hygiene are fundamental expectations, especially in a designated non-smoking room. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that stronger housekeeping and room inspection procedures are implemented before rooms are allocated to guests. I look forward to seeing improvements so that future guests do not have a similar experience.
