Well placed, clean and friendly spot for a night stay on a St Mary's, GA to Baytown, TX road trip. After 50 years on reporting to VT10 for naval flight officer school we went to the National Naval Aviation Mueseum for old time sake... (so long ago the US was still training Iranian pilots for Mohammad Reza Pahlavi's military, our allies, and "Lady Lex" had only been operating there a dozen years).
The inside hotel pool was a real blessing. Though we checked in after 20:00 on the 8th we still managed over an hour of relaxation there despite the absurd weather of Feb26.
I was; however, forced to haul my laptop out of my vehicle to effect an astm.org transaction as the operating systems on both courtesy desktop machines were from an "age of stone knives and bear skins" (one featured Windows 7 & the other might as well have been from before God made little green Macintoshs).
That said each of the four, all women, staff we met were most pleasant and the breakfast was quite good.
