Europa Hotel Design Spa 1877

Hotel is located right by the water, and it is a true 4 star hotel. Beautiful facilities, only bathroom small and door to the bathroom and closet are bulky. Very good breakfast and professional staff

Stayed for 3 nights as we were attending a wedding. Location was great and a short walk to everywhere. Very clean rooms and much nicer design than most of Italian hotels which I tend to find too old fashion. Could do with in room coffee and tea facilities. Breakfast was fine. Enough choice. Had to request orange juice as the one offered was just coloured water. But they obliged. Staff were nice enough. Our main issue was arriving at 1am and not being able to access the hotel. We knocked and rang the bell for half an hour and nobody came. Tried every door but nothing. Finally someone appeared showing no concern and more like a nuisance! We asked reception the following morning as we knew we would arrive later that day. They said they “would try”!!!!!! It is a 4 star hotel and I find this un acceptable. We also tried to ask for half an hour extension on check out and they answered no in a way that made us feel we were unreasonable. They could have at least been nicer explaining the reason for their lack of flexibility. We of course understand it’s not always possible. To summarise, yes I would stay there again as nicer than other hotels in Rapallo. Customer service could be upped a notch.

We would have finished our trip here. Beautiful beach side town, restaurants strip along water. Gorgeous hotel. We would have stated longer.

Yes, I’m satisfied about Europa hotel- good location, extremely clean, friendly stuff. Only two things I didn’t like: 1) breakfasts are quite poor and boring (could be more options and more diverse) and 2) they charged me extra city tax, despite i was told by Agoda I already paid all the taxes and fees.
