Very pleasant Hudson Yards location with short walk to subway etc. Good sleep - beds, darkness, air, quiet. But really the reason to choose this is none of the above but if you want a great pool and gym at your hotel. They can get a bit busy but facilities are excellent.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding my recent stay at your hotel before I left, which I had chosen to celebrate my birthday and welcome my close friend on her first-ever trip to New York.
Prior to our arrival, I made multiple efforts to confirm our check-in time through both my personal email and the booking platform. I even proactively reached out the day before our stay to request early check-in. Despite these communications, we were informed upon arrival—at the standard check-in time of 3:00 PM—that our room would not be ready until 4:30 PM. There was no formal apology or proper explanation, only two bottles of water offered without context or care.
As we had a dinner reservation at 5:00 PM, the rushed and disorganized check-in process left us stressed and unprepared. With no clear guidance or proper welcome, we were hastily escorted to the spa changing room to open our luggage and get ready—an experience that was both awkward and humiliating in a public setting. Unsurprisingly, we were late to dinner, and my friend was left waiting, which was unacceptable.
Later that evening, we brought our concerns to the attention of the staff. While the night duty manager acknowledged the situation and arranged complimentary breakfast, spa access, and a late checkout, these gestures—although appreciated—lacked proper explanation and personalization. Even how to address my friend was unclear, which reflects poorly on the service quality we expected from your hotel.
Upon entering our room, we noticed exposed lighting wires and a vibrating door that required immediate repair from the maintenance team. After an exhausting day, we had no energy left to complain and simply endured the situation.
The next morning, no one from the team proactively followed up on the promised services. We had to make multiple phone calls, and the spa did not answer, forcing us to go down in person to get information. On top of that, our key card was demagnetized, requiring further explanation of the ongoing issues we had faced.
Although our stay was only for one night, we were honestly relieved that it wasn't longer. Before leaving, I felt it necessary to share these experiences with you, not just as a guest, but as someone who had high hopes and expectations for this special occasion.
