    Overwater villa dreams came true at Embudu Village! Amazing staff, delicious food, and turquoise water right outside your door. Felt luxurious but so relaxed. A must-stay in Maldives. Embudu Village truly exceeded our expectations in every way. Nestled on its own private island, the resort has a charm that feels both luxurious and effortlessly relaxed — the kind of place that stays with you long after you've left. We stayed in an overwater villa, and it was absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to turquoise water right beneath you, stepping out onto your private deck with nothing but the ocean stretching ahead — it's an experience unlike anything else. The staff throughout our stay were incredibly hospitable, always present when needed and genuinely kind in their approach. Nothing ever felt like too much to ask, which made the entire stay feel very personal and comfortable. The excursion team was equally impressive — knowledgeable, easy-going, and patient, making every activity feel safe and enjoyable rather than rushed. Dining at the resort was a real treat as well. The buffet offered a generous variety of dishes catering to all tastes, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options that were freshly prepared and full of flavor. The resort grounds were immaculate — clean, beautifully maintained, and radiating that signature Maldivian tranquility at every turn. If you're looking for a true island escape with warm hospitality and an overwater villa experience to remember, Embudu Village delivers on every front. Highly recommended.

    We stayed here for a few nights. We were looking for a place close to the airport with great snorkeling and the hotel met both of these requirements. We were able to leave the resort 2 and a half hrs before our flight. No rushing or panicking, just a 20 min speedboat. The snorkeling was great with lots to see and the food was great, with lots of choice and a local spicy section, which was delicious and something other hotels sometimes lack. Despite this we likely wouldn't stay again unless there were some changes. I can completely see the appeal of this place verses the larger resorts, it's very chilled and low key. We found the local islands to offer the same but with overall better value, with inclusions like free snorkeling gear, not offered at Embudu. But the main issue we had was with the beach bungalows. We found them to be dated, dark and a little depressing. Not all bungalows are beach bungalows, and I think it would be better to re categorise, making some Garden bungalows to avoid disappointment. All of that aside the room was simply uncomfortable and uninviting, with the worst mattress I've ever slept on. The team do a great job of keeping them tidy but after a while things are just old and can no longer be spruced. It's a shame because a little update would go such a long way and as mentioned so much is great about this place.
