From the moment we arrived, we knew we would enjoy our stay. The front desk supervisor Stefanie made our stay so much more Pleasant. We are new to the area and she gave us great information about iconic places to visit in Charleston as well as dinning recommendations. The hotel is pristine. The manager’s special and made to order breakfast did not disappoint. We will definitely go back and highly recommend this Embassy Suites in Mt Pleasant.

Pros: The hotel is a nice, new building in a great, centralized location. The grounds are well appointed and aesthetically pleasing. Located just over the Ravenel Bridge, there is easy access to Charleston and Isle of Palms. I believe there are 6 floors that are serviced by 3 elevators with little-to-no wait. The complimentary breakfast is better than most “free” breakfasts, and included made-to-order omelets. Evening reception with complimentary drinks seemed to be a huge hit with lots of guests. There is a walking/running path that winds around the harbor side of the hotel. It leads to a pier under the bridge (cute gift shop/cafe) and to pedestrian/bike path for bridge crossing (my fave). Staff was hit or miss. Some were super friendly and engaging, others not as much.
Cons: $30/day self parking in adjacent lot was expensive and tedious. Hotel parking was limited to the third level and above..The gates were designed to be accessed using your hotel card, and this function never worked. You would have to push a button and wait for the arm to be lifted, and during busy times of the day could create a small backup of vehicles. The gym had a few treadmills, elliptical machine, peloton bike, dumbbells, kettle balls, and a bench. Not much else. This was adequate for my length of stay, but just be aware of you’re into any type of strength training. Equipment is limited. Communication with staff was very inconsistent. We arrived an hour before check in time and was told that we would be called or texted when our room was ready. Spent an hour exploring the grounds around the hotel. Just so happened to check the Hilton app on my phone and noticed my room was showing assigned and ready. Went back to the check-in desk and staff seems surprised. Turns out my room is ready. There were a few more incidences of failed communication, but I understand that this can sometimes happen and it really wasn’t a big deal to me because I was here for a leisurely vacation. Also, make sure you check hotel charges at checkout.; get a printed receipt. You may need this later on. Trust me on this.;-)
Overall, I would stay in this hotel again as it was reasonably priced for the area and fit my family’s needs.
