    As someone who has been to many of the EKHO properties, this was the worst experience I have had. The property is basically abandoned and didn’t feel safe at all. The facilities were not up to standard, only two staff members were there, the property wasn’t maintained at all, we experienced leaking roofs, broken taps, broken doors etc. the food was definitely not up to standard. Not worth the money spent at all.

    We arrived at EKO Weligama at 11 PM, and to our surprise, there was no one at the reception. We had to call the manager, who questioned us about why we were late and if this was the expected arrival time. Despite our explanations, the manager never showed up to assist us. This resulted in a very unpleasant and frustrating experience. The lack of professionalism and courtesy was disappointing. We hope the management addresses this issue to prevent such experiences for future guests.

    I recently stayed at EKHO Weligama and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The hotel had zero cleanliness standards — we even found rat droppings on our towels and room tables! We had booked two double rooms on a half-board basis, but there were no menu cards to choose our meals. Instead, we had to accept whatever they decided to serve under an à la carte system. They informed us that no in-house chef was available during our stay, which was shocking for a hotel of this size. Upon arrival, we were told the female washroom was out of order, and they directed us to use the male washroom, which was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. The pool area was poorly maintained. There were monkeys everywhere, making it completely unusable. The garden area was dirty, the ponds were filled with filth, and the pool changing room washrooms were disgusting — covered in dirt and even feces, without any proper cleaning. The hotel maintenance overall was terrible: Doors and washroom doors were broken and couldn't be locked. Linens were unclean and stained. Staff service was very poor — we had to constantly remind them to bring basic things like water and tissues whenever we ordered food. Food was tasteless, and the service was extremely slow. Overall, it was a complete waste of money. We were extremely unsatisfied and deeply disappointed with everything. Please do not waste your time or money by visiting this place.
