Doc's was a great stay. We had fun and our 9 yr old made lots of friends. It's a wonderful place, in a great location with lots to do. One thing that didn't feel great was the pricing- providing small bottles of water in our room that were $5 each. The restaurant and bar is also wildly overpriced- and the food is just Ok.
Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay with great pools! Henry, Rockie and the man who runs maintenance, were absolutely amazing!

The gimmick of Dr. Wilkinson’s is very cute. The style is fun and cheeky and deeply millennial. Want a good instagram photo? Look no further. The price unfortunately isn’t justified. While the pools are great, and the staff friendly, the food was mediocre (rare in the area) and the rooms were extremely loud. Insulation was apparently overlooked during the renovations.
Most of the staff were very kind and the spa was wonderful (which seems separate from the resort, accessed from the street) . We had great massages. We’d return for the spa but not to stay.

The staff were both helpful and friendly! The actual hotel is quiet and clean, and dog friendly. No overcrowding and no partying atmosphere here. Super quiet and peaceful. So much so, that there are NO blenders or margaritas in all of Calistoga. The rooms had a very mid century, yet modern and chic vibe. Each room comes equipped with a cool retro mini-fridge and a Meg coffee kettle . Calistoga in itself, is a quiet , small town, with lots of boutiques and surprisingly delicious restaurants to choose from . It’s also super close to Napa, but a fraction of the cost! The only caveat about the hotel and Calistoga in general, is that there are a lot of honey bees flying around. I was stung once, but thank God I am not allergic to bee stings. Just a word for those who do have allergies, to bee stings ;don’t forget to bring your Epipen! Or perhaps best to test beforehand to see what you are allergic to. Do intend to return!!
