The hotel staff was extremely friendly and courteous. They went out of their way to help me on many different occasions. The location is centric to the African American history museum about a block and a half away. Highly recommended!

As a Hilton Gold member who has visited hundreds of Hilton Hotels and Double Trees, this location lacks in Hilton standards in cleanliness and service. The evening front desk attendant on the evening of 1/2/25 was not friendly did not even crack a smile once very unwelcoming. One of the coolest things about Double Trees are the warm cookies given at check in, we had to ask for cookies and there wasn’t enough ready for our family of 4. Our entire floor smelled like marijuana smoke upon arrival and our room was no different. Our room had only two towels, even though our reservation said 2 adults and 2 children, no wash clothes, no towel for the floor, there were no extra linens to make the pull out couch beds for our kids available and told we had to pay a fee for extra linens. The phone did not work so we couldn’t call for extra towels or linens had to journey back down 6 floors as a Leukemia patient twice to gather necessities for my family and the lamps light bulbs were burnt out. Worse of all one elevator didn’t work and the one available made a terrible scary clicking sound when going up or down and there was no certificate posted of elevator service. When you try to use room service the QR code does not take you to the correct page to order anything. The ceiling is falling off over the king sized bed. The back of the bathroom door was covered in white goo. There was no free WiFi if you try to use WiFi it says you have to pay for a fee. There was no free continental breakfast. I asked for a table for 4 and had to wait 5 minutes to be seated when there was many tables open, then was told we had to buy breakfast. For *** per night this was a terrible Hilton experience.

We love staying in Double Tree hotels but was disappointed with this one. The bathroom floor was sticky and the floor rug felt filthy. The room is dark as you only have 3 lights. The cover of the toilet seat was missing (though they offered to fix it when we were about to check out). You can see several toilet seat covers along the hallway. 50/50 on staff as the person during check-in was nice but the person who checked us out was a little surly.
The only good things were the beds, toiletries and the cookies, but that was it.
