    There are a number of issues with this place, but the only one I will highlight is the battery for the room door died around 11 pm and when I told the front desk he said he would fix it in the morning, I was only staying 1 night and could not lock the door if I wasn't in the room. I had to keep the door unlocked or I would not be able to come and go and since I am a smoker and the place is a smoke free facility, it was a major problem. Spend the extra cash and stay at a more reputable establishment.

    it’s a bitter sweetness as “The Dixie of O.C” is no longer, well, “The Dixie”. As the previous owners of this establishment were a pleasure to get to know and be accommodated by. However, even though it has now become “Vivo”.. the new Owners of the Motel are just as awesome and hospitable . they’ve already begun to revamp a few of the rooms and while it still has the Dixie feel , you can definitely see and appreciate the minor but needed changes. I would like to also note that the wireless internet connection is so so but particularly as one goes more towards the southern wall and is upstairs. BUT do not fret.. That too is currently in the works of getting its make over . please have patience and if you’ve been here when it was previously “The Dixie “, new portfolio guys.. Bear with the motel staff as there will likely be things working in a manner in which was not the case previously. may be the same building, but different souls and hearts that beat..
