    This was our second stay at this hotel. We were generally satisfied again with everything. However, we were only informed on our second day that the golf course was closed for preparations for an annual tournament. We were told that the hotel does not own the golf course and so has no control over it. If this is the case, we questioned how the hotel can advertise themselves as a golf resort. The hotel did arrange for me to play 9 holes and gave us a free spa voucher. Unfortunately, this did not make up for not being able to play 2 or 3 rounds of golf, which was one of the main reasons we booked to stay again. We should have been informed at the time of making our booking that the golf course would be closed as this should have been known. This definitely spoilt our stay and we need to carefully consider whether we would make another booking.
