Days Inn by Wyndham Granbury

Considering current $3 gasoline, $7 hamburgers, and $12 6 pqck of domestic beer prices, I just have to accept the fact that 2 nights in a budget motel costs ***. It's clean and in decent condition, unlike the "Quality" Inn a few blocks away.

Love this place and the staff. Its always clean and the staff is very accommodating.

It’s been a long time (years) since we’ve stayed at Days Inn mainly because in the past they seemed a bit run down, so we were pleasantly surprised that the room & bath were a bit larger than other similar grade hotels rooms we’ve stayed in. Also room seemed to be recently updated to similar colors, decor, tile flooring (no carpets) and furnishings to other Wyndham brand hotels we’ve stayed at in recent years. The beds were very comfortable and are the type that don’t transfer movement, which was nice. However there were a couple maintenance issues: 1) a bracket on the clothes hanger shelf had detached from wall; 2) there was a small intermittent water leak from the upstairs shower that leaked down to our bathroom floor twice during our stay. We brought both issues to the manager’s attention and they quickly added it to the maintenance guys work list. The rooms are exterior rooms so we were able to park directly in front of our room which was convenient for loading/unloading luggage. There are also cameras for security. However, with exterior rooms you have to expect a fly or beetle to find its way in so we weren’t surprised to find a couple flies and beetles in the room. We’ve seen this issue before in other exterior rooms at other hotels from other brands, too. The breakfast was ok. It was basic waffles, instant oatmeal, cold cereal, mini muffins, bread for toast, and biscuits & gravy, and yogurt. No eggs or breakfast meats though. They did provide 24hr coffee & juice which was nice to have available all day. We did use the outdoor pool which also seemed to have been updated recently as the pool deck was well maintained and seemed newer. However there were only 3 chairs total on the deck which was not nearly enough for the number of people using the pool. There should be at least 3-5 more chairs available. The hotel is pet friendly which was important to us as we were traveling with our dog. There is a pet fee however it’s waived if there is no damage from pet. Which was nice. We’ve never stayed at a pet friendly hotel that waived the pet fee before. The hotel is two stories with exterior stairs. We didn’t see an elevator. However, when we booked the room we had requested a 1st floor room in the special request area, which the hotel accommodated for us so they had a 1st floor room ready for us when we checked in. The hotel is located in the midst of several restaurants and stores that are within walking distance or a short drive. In addition, the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our requests for extra towels & toilet paper, etc. Also housekeeping came by midway thru our Memorial week end stay and asked if we’d like fresh towels so we swapped out our used towels for fresh ones. That was nice as other similar grade hotels we’ve stayed at don’t offer housekeeping services during your stay unless you request it. If we need to stay in Granbury, Tx again we will definitely consider staying here again.
