Crystal Sands Hikkaduwa

We stayed for 1 night and booked 2 rooms. Palm suite and Sands suite are decent size with an en suite bathroom for each room. We originally booked 2 palm suites but then we upgraded to the Sands suite to get rooms next to each other. Comparing both, the sands suite is a bit bigger with a larger living/kitchen space! Each room also comes with a plunge pool - Please note that this is not a heated jacuzzi as I first thought. There is a jet option to turn on the jet bubbles push of water into the pool and also an option to turn on the pool lights should you wish to use it at night. Nice to sit in - feels like a little massage when sitting against the jet stream of water. Really wish it had an option for turning on heated water for the room pools! This would have been more amazing. Rooms came with a minibar with some complimentary drinks and of course other drinks and snacks which need to be paid for if you take them. All the staff are very friendly! Thank you for your hospitality during our stay. We were shown our rooms by the staff who showed us where everything was and explained the minibar to us. There is an onsite gym if you wish to use it. Infinity pool on the 10th floor with an amazing view. We opted in for breakfast and the breakfast was filling and tasted amazing. You can have a choice of western or a traditional Srilankan breakfast(I went for the traditional milk rice and it was amazing!) My only feedback is to include an option to have heated water in the rooms plunge pool. This would have been amazing to experience! Please make this a future feature! Once again thank you for your hospitality. Every single staff member were kind and very helpful. Thank you!

great view, beach front, waves and wind all day err day. we have a fantastic time as crystal sands. Very close by to great Sri Lankan food both north and southwards. Recommended.

It's tower, when raining the entire balcony was filled with water. the Pool is at the rooftop where you have breakfast no privacy. the Villa is like a big corridor and tiny rooms. honestly for that price there are much better places in Sri Lanka. breakfast is ok not too bad. but if you go to a hotel you will get much bigger spread. I would eccomend them to do Ala carte than a small tiny buffet
