Cresanto Luxury Suites

This hotel is beautiful and the views we had with our room were spectacular and the food was great! However, we did experience some issues which ruined our stay. We booked this hotel as we were getting married in Santorini and this was close to the location and the room we booked was a lagoon sea view room and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff in the restaurant are also so lovely and really helpful. However, during our stay we had a faulty wardrobe light which flashed every 5/10 minutes and as you can imagine, the flash would light up our whole room. As soon as we noticed this, we contacted reception and someone was sent down and looked at the wardrobe and said he will come back, which he never did. Again on the night the flashing continued, which we could not possibly cope with when trying to go to sleep, so we again contacted reception. Someone had come down and this time it was a different person and he was so very helpful, he came back several times within an hour. The first time he come, he put some tape over the sensor in the wardrobe which unfortunately, did not work so we phoned again. He came back again, he tried to disconnect the sensor to stop the light, which didn’t work and he again come back out and then turned the lights from the switch board and reassured us that this will be looked at the next day. The next day arrived, we again told reception and someone had been out whilst we were out, and they put the sensor back into the wardrobe which didn’t fix anything and we still had the issue of the flashing constantly, which lit the entire room. We again told reception and they said someone will be out, they never came. The only way we could sleep was to turn the entire lights off in our room on the switchboard and when you are staying in any hotel this is not acceptable, certainly not a 5 star hotel and this ruined our stay, especially when we needed our sleep in readiness of our big day!! Upon check out, I also found the receptionist very passive aggressive and rude. She didn’t ask how our stay was and when I asked her if she had anywhere to hang up a wedding dress, she was abrupt and had a very rude tone which I did not appreciate. In terms of location, this hotel is situated around 15 minute walk from the beautiful views of Firastefani but the walk up the hill is steep so beware! It is a shame that we experienced what we did as this really let the hotel down but the room and views were beautiful.

Our stay in Cresanto was the perfect start to our Cyclades adventure. The hotel was modern, clean and the staff incredibly welcoming and helpful. Niki and Flora went above and beyond. We stayed in a shared pool suite, the room was bright, bed comfy, good shower and all the added extras such as robes, slippers a clothes steamer etc were nice touches. The hotel is conveniently located just a short stroll to caldera sunset views and on the main walkway into Fira & Oia. We had a lovely stay and the prefect start to our holidays.

Cresanto was absolutely perfection in every way. We will return again and again and again.

Great beautiful hotel at the entrance to Imerovigli village, nice breakfast but with only black coffee included. The rooms near the pool bar are noisy during noon and afternoon.
