    It is a great location and for that I am prepared to be woken at 5am by street cleaning etc - have a building that is in fair repairs and a bed with a bow in the middle. All of this at a price that just cant be beaten. My fourth stay and each time it is improving just a little.

    The staff were very helpful upon checking and checkout. The rooms were clean. I recommend this hotel. Thanks for the time to leave my luggage until my late flight on a Sunday!

    Eminence on Bank (formerly Cosmo on Bank) was cheaper than many alternatives and conveniently located near Rundle Mall and the trams. The bed was comfortable and staff were pleasant, but unfortunately that’s where the positives largely ended. The room was exceptionally small with nowhere to sit except the bed, no wardrobe or useful clothing storage, and a fridge door that couldn’t open properly because it hit the bed. It was advertised as 31m², but it couldn’t have been more than 25m² at most (including bathroom). The hot water also ran out after about 10 minutes in the shower, although the water pressure was good and it reheated after waiting around 20 minutes. After the day 3 room servicing we were left with only one clean towel and no bathmat (which I only discovered after hours). Finally, it was exceptionally noisy. While I expected this due to other reviews, I really underestimated the extent to which it would impact us on the 5th floor. Earplugs are a must, but unfortunately they didn’t do much to stop the low humidity of machinery that went all night. It didn’t help that the window had air gaps around it and couldn’t be adjusted! While the price and location may appeal to some, the room’s size, noise and lack of basic functionality made the stay uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it and would not stay here again.
