Owned by Chinese. Beautiful Old building if only more money was spent on the renovations. Staff outstanding. Room very clean except the old carpet. ..False economy… such a shame. Noise from trucks .. no double glazed windows.

The room was a good size but reeked of cleaning products (I had to sleep with the window open in July), there were hairs on the bed, the entrance way didn't look like it had been vacuumed in years. When you see a sign saying please don'e heat food in the kettle, one does wonder what this room has seen... I arrived after the desk was staffed (could not find hours listed anywhere online) to find my full name and room number on display for anyone to see (travelling solo, this does NOT make one feel safe). When other guests arrived late, I could hear them coming down the corridor and their entire conversation, the sound proofing was average at best. The set out of the room was good, the bathroom was clean and mould free, hairs on the bed just take away all trust. You get what you pay for...
