This resort is simply amazing, stunning location, impeccable staff, nothing too much trouble, friendly courteous and highly efficient. Food is exceptional as is the service. Suites overlooking the beautiful pool. Should be 7*

Very disappointed with our recent stay - this is supposed to be a luxury hotel, but it did not feel like that to us, and certainly not worth the price.
Positives:
Main pool area is beautiful and well maintained.
Breakfast is nice with a good selection.
Very nice housekeeping staff.
Negatives:
Food poor quality and extremely over-priced at 'traditional' restaurant (think 3x what you would pay elsewhere). Main good restaurant at the hotel was closed as it was being renovated - no prior warning, apology or compensation. Renovation included construction/drilling/sawing first thing in the morning (before 8am!) audible from our room, and right by the pool during the day - not peaceful.
Loud wedding at the hotel during our stay with no apology made or compensation. Main garden by the beach closed for 2 days due to this, and one of the whole pool areas closed for 1 day.
Poor room given despite better rooms of the same category being available - I enquired and was told no.
Old cat poo found in the room under the TV cabinet!! Cracked wine glass which broke when I tried to drink from it. Two single beds pushed together DO NOT make a king-sized bed - very uncomfortable. Tea, coffee and water in our room was never replenished.
Gates constantly closed at the front of the hotel so I had to drive to the wrong side of the road, use the intercom and explain I was a guest EVERY single time I tried to come back to the hotel (multiple times a day).
