Colina Da Lapa Resort

We booked a stay for one night with breakfast included for two people on the apartment resort Colina da Lapa, in Carvoeiro. The overall conditions of the apartment and amenities were mediocre and not typical of a 4 star accommodation, although the location and outside view was alright as expected. When you arrive, you enter the reception hall where they give you some info about the check out time and wifi password, as well as verifying your documents and proof of booking. We booked this hotel for a double bedroom with breakfast included, and were not informed of the breakfast hours by the staff, which we called by phone after checking in to the apartment and they said it would be served in the complex’s restaurant from 7:30 to 10:30. We woke up around 8:30 the next day and headed to said restaurant, which was closed with no breakfast being served. We immediately headed to the reception to ask about the location of the breakfast hall and if it was still being served, to which the same receptionist who picked up the phone the day before said that we were not entitled to breakfast nor it was being served because there were no guests with the breakfast package today. I showed him the email that served as proof of booking where it clearly said that the breakfast was included in the price paid upon reservation, and added that, when we inserted search filters in the Agoda website, one of our requirements was “breakfast included” and this was one of the hotels that showed up. He proceeded to say that our only option was to pay extra for breakfast and send the receipt to the booking agent to file for a claim and get a reimbursement, without exploring any further options nor consulting with colleagues/ supervisors/ directors, and we were also not advised before that the restaurant would be opening later than previously stated (just because we called and asked for that specific information). We were treated in a very condescending and unhelpful manner, the staff wouldn’t cater to us in any way whatsoever and every issue we had we would have to adjust to their lack of resolution. Fortunately, we found a range of amazing places in Carvoeiro’s center to eat and continue our journey. It was a disappointing experience which is a shame since the location is quite nice and has so much potential, the staff should have known better than acting like the guests were doing them a favor by staying at their accommodation.

All great very clean and comfortable accommodation. Staff were friendly and professional. Would recommend and stay again.

Couldn’t fault Villa,it was excellent, had a wee issue regarding flooding of patio area/ barbecue,staff were informed Monday, nothing done about it when we left Saturday?? Disappointing as had to relocate furniture as couldn’t sit anyway near barbecue due to flooding. Also only one key given for whole group, sorry but not good enough.

The place was ok although needs a bit refurbish. Bed was good though. We had to ask them to prepare the second bed and they don't clean everyday.
