Our third time here at Club del Carmen in Lanzarote and as usual it’s fantastic. Beautiful immaculate apartments and right next to the beach, shops and restaurants.

2 bedroom villa is luxurious. Well equipped kitchen with balcony. Quiet ends of Puerta del Carmen with easy access to promenade, supermarkets and restaurants.

Consistent great service from all the staff, really friendly and not enough they could do with any query. Location is excellent, close to a beautiful beach, near lots of restaurants, bars and shops but so close that there is noise from this.
Pools are great, but small but no way was is crowded over the Bank Holiday weekend. Apartment was clean, well equipped and had comfortable beds.
In all, a great place to stay and found really good value too. 😄

To be honest I can’t understand how fellow guests give high ratings to this property… but similarly to Europes most favorite low cost airline, every business has its own customer group. Here is the real feedback: 1. Checkin starts at unusually late at 16:00, but don’t expect to get into your hotel room at 4 pm as they start calling housekeeping to see if your room is ready, ask you to fill out the forms that take about 10 min. You will be lucky to be in your room by 16:30. The pool is open until 6 pm and you will only have 1 hour to enjoy your pool on a first night. 2. Check bed sheets for the foldable couch beds, we found out that they are missing in the evening when hiusekeeping staff is no longer there, thus it took half an hour to get our bed sheets. 3. Everything you ask is: SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY, this is staffs most favorite quotes. You ask for an earlier checkin, you ask for later checkout, you ask for the towels, everything is Subject to Availability. 3. For early checkin and checkout there is an hourly rate of 20 EUR. Don’t count on customer friendliness, this is how this business is made. 4. Checkout is unreadablly early at 10:00 unlike other hotels, and missing checkout by 10 minutes will automatically generate extra hour charges. That’s when the Second most favorite staff quote kicks inn, there’s nothing I can do this is generated automatically by the system.. Pool opens at 09:00 thus you can forget about morning swim unless you beg to stay after your checkin time.. but again, remember.. this is “subject to availability” will not recommend will not come back, better properties for the same value
