Have travelled Vietnam 20 years and normally I don't have a tendency to comment on stuff unless the experience is really beyond letdown. This hotel has had some very negative reviews dating back to 2017 and I would think nothing much has changed. I think the owner is just leveraging on the hotel's location as a selling point to 1-time customers and has no interest in improving on the negative feedback. Location: Very good, the hotel is right by the river so guests get unobstructed scenic view of the river. Breakfast: Miserable 1. Unlike other international hotels, the breakast is ala-carte style and every guest is allowed ONLY 1 meal and drink. The 2nd order is chargeable, was charged 12,000 vnd (36,000 vnd for non-guests) vnd for order a second set of banh mi oplat 2. Eggs: The eggs looked hastily done, like the cook was having a bady or couldn't be bothered that eggs should be sunny side up or runny or omelette style, just a thrown into the pan and roughend up 2. Vegeration/Vegan menu: NO 3. Waiting time was long, we sat down and waited 15 minutes before we were served, we counted there were 5 young waiting staff walking around not including the mature lady who looked like the boss assisted by another assistant at the counter, the dining hall is just a single storey area with probably about 20 tables. The staff seemed to be walking around pretending not to see us. Rooms: 1. Found a tiny baby snake in our room, which likely found its way in from the garden 2. The bin in the room did not have lid, a lid would be more hygienic 3. The bedsheet didn't seem clean, I developed some rashes after the stay 4. On the day of check-out, the receptionist told us to wait while she checked the room and bewilderingly, she had lifted up the bed sheet to check the mattress which had a patch of brown stain and told us to pay 200,000 vnd as "cleaning fee" . I find that dodgy that a reception staff would go to the extent of lifting up the bed sheet to check the mattress. I was adamant about it and if we had not been in a hurry to go to the airport, I would have continued to reason with the staff. We paid the 200,000 vnd but was not given a receipt. Not exactly a 3-star Hotel in my opinion.
