That place sucks they lied about me smoking in the room to keep my 100 deposit I didn't even smoke. The big 7 is fine tho ok motel

I honestly thought this hotel was in another part of town. The 3-Star hotel is well justified.

Great location clean room safe environments

I recently stayed four nights at the Chula Vista Inn (***) and I was appalled by the condition of the room. (See included pics!) For starters, the key card took a half dozen swipes just to activate the door lock. As soon as I opened the door, I noticed the furniture had broken and misaligned drawers. I turned on the tv and noticed that it had vertical lines all across the bottom of the screen, as if it had been previously damaged. The king bed had five small pillows that were all lumpy. When I looked around the room, I noticed that someone had drawn crosses with a ball point pen on the door frame, on the walls above the headboard and every power outlet, and on the curtains, which were torn and had holes in them. There was a random rolling desk chair in an empty corner of the room and there was even dried blood stains on the floor near the side of the bed closest to the bathroom. When I checked out the bathroom, there was a poorly repaired patch job on the door and the towel rack above the toilet was falling off the wall with paint peeling downward. The hot water for the shower took several minutes to actually arrive, but I couldn’t get cold water to the sink when washing my hands or brushing my teeth. There was at least a 1/4” gap between the bottom of the motel room door and the floor of the room, so all the outside noise was coming in without any kind of resistance. Against my better judgement, I still stayed the four nights bcuz I was working at the Gaylord Convention Center for the week and I needed a cheap place to sleep instead of driving 1.5 hours each way from my home in the Temecula area. Plus, I booked the room on Agoda.com and there was no refund or cancellation policy so I didn’t want to lose the money that I had already paid for the 4 nights. The pictures on the website are extremely misleading and this place should be re-named the Bait & Switch Inn. If I’m ever in the situation where I need to stay down in Chula Vista for another job, I will spend more money and NEVER come back to this hell hole.
